To my condolences to the family of Mrs. Lucas, may her soul rest in peace! I knew her family well, grew up in the little old town of Hollister. Everyone was family even though some had our differences, family, friends are hard to acquire these days, but we grew up with a great bond for each other.

My deepest sympathy to Bessie's family. I grew up on Powell street across from her. I was in Hollister a couple years ago and went by the old neighborhood taking a picture of the house. She walked over to me and we talked for quiet a while. Lovely lady. Peace and prayers to the family.

Grandma- Thank you for all the memories; weekend visits at your house watching the Lawerence Welk show, drives with your older lady friends (I think that helped me in my nursing career have a love for the elderly) teaching me to drive from the ranch to your house in the mustard colored VW station wagon, years of being in the Apricot cutting shed, your love for baking and cooking (you did an amazing job), sewing experiences and providing me an apartment a few times -which was such a help in my life..... While there are plenty more I will stop here. In the last few days of your life I am grateful to have reminisced with you, laughed and cried. You were happy to have lived long enough to see grandkids, great grandkids and great great grandkids and let us all know you were ready to go - then you closed your eyes and entered into eternal life. May you rest in the peace that God gives. Much love from me to you ❤️

Aunt Bessie, I love you! Tommy, Connie, Alice & family: my heartfelt sympathy to all. It was a pleasure visiting with her at the nursing home - talking about 'old' times; her memory was amazing. I enjoyed feeding her lunch one day plus putting chapstick on her lips. (Little things, but it meant a lot to her.) She spoke about her family, and felt blessed that she was well taken care of! God bless her soul.
