My condolences to the entire Leakey family. As I sit here in Mazatlán, Mexico I can remember hearing old his Mazatlan stories and how much he enjoyed this place. When I moved here I looked forward one day sharing one of those cold Pacifico beers at the Shrimp Bucket he kept bragging about.Unfortunately his hip surgery prevented that from happening. I was however very fortunate to spend some great times and cold beers in San Miguel Allende Mexico with both him and John Cancino. On his behalf I will walk down to the Shrimp Bucket this evening and have a cold one. I know he will be with me in spirit..

Mary my prayers are with you and your family through these tough times. Hold onto the memories and the strength Joe showed us all to keep going! He was a great mentor. I loved his sweet boy smile and his fling of the wrist wave hello !

My favorite memories of Joe are too many to note, but two stand out. First was the way he waved off complaints about anything. The next was of our numerous sales trips and how he would sit one row up on the plane doing his crossword puzzles, while all of the sales reps would sit together across from him. He'd share his free drink tickets, but not his newspaper--just waving us off with that really cool smile of his. He was a beautifully unique person and he will be missed.
Sincere condolences to Mary and the Family.
