Obituary of Ronald W. Doll

Ronald Warren Doll, 80, of Hollister, California, passed away unexpectedly on October 5, 2024, after a short illness. Ron was born on June 2, 1944, in San Jose, CA to Lawrence and Ellamae Doll. He graduated from San Jose High School in 1962 and joined the IBEW#332 in 1977 as an electrician. Ron chose early retirement after 29 years of service in 2006 so he could putz around the farm, play on his tractor, and make pomegranate jelly. He enjoyed spending time with his community at Immaculate Conception Church and singing with his choir friends at Monterey Peninsula Voices. Ron is survived by his son Brian of Sammamish, WA; his daughter Julie and son-in-law David of Hollister CA; his grandson Derek and wife Holly of Oceano, CA; his granddaughter Jody and husband Jason of Soquel, CA; his siblings Walter, Patricia and Lorraine; his nieces Denise, Jenny, Laurie, Terrie, Nancy and Tracy. Ron is predeceased by his loving wife of 49 years, Laurel; his devoted fiancée, Kathy; and his parents, Lawrence and Ellamae. A mass and reception are scheduled for Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 5pm at Immaculate Conception Church in Tres Pinos, CA. In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree in Ron’s honor.
