Obituary of Andrew James Sharp

Andrew James Sharp was born on December 14, 1954 and died on December 19, 2022 after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Sharp, his mother, Virginia Sullivan Bradt, his sister Claudia Sharp, and his stepfather Gurdon “Don” Bradt. Andy is survived by his only child, beloved Andrea Sharp, and her children, Aryanna, Andrew and Aiden, as well as a large, blended family including his brother, Tom Sharp, his sister, Caroline Bradt Slivkoff, Peter Bradt, Ted Bradt, and Jim Loofbourrow. Andy grew up and attended schools in both Hollister and Los Gatos and he had many lifelong friends. He was a retired rancher and truck driver and a gifted mechanic, always tinkering on some kind of engine. He enjoyed a close relationship with Andrea and his grandchildren, who fondly knew him as “Papa”. A celebration of Andy’s life will be held on Saturday, January 7 at 11:00 am at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Family Funeral Home. Family and Friend will meet for a reception at Paine's Restaurant following the service at 1:00 p.m.
